Three steps up from a smooth gravel patio onto a kwila deck and you’re facing the entrance door to the Main House Twin Studio Apartment (Apt.3).
Entering the apartment, you find yourself in a small hallway; the door to your left takes you into a well-lit bathroom. The floor is beautifully warm from the underfloor heating and the tiled shower looks inviting; gas hot water means a plentiful supply. There is a large mirror above the wash basin and the bathroom has a bright, modern yet cosy feel.
The other door from the hallway is half stained glass and is from another era – when the old house was the Willowbrook Homestead. Opening this ornate door, you walk into a large room with a high ceiling, another feature of bygone days. To your left is a large, modern kitchenette with cooktop, rangehood, microwave oven and full size fridge/freezer. Cookware, crockery, cutlery, electric kettle, toaster - all the kitchenware you need – is neatly stored in the drawers and cupboards below the long benchtop.
On the other side of this spacious room are two single beds with firm mattresses and electric blankets and a dining table with four chairs. A powerful Rinnai gas heater keeps the room at a comfortable temperature and can be set to timed operation if desired. In a cosy living area in another corner of the room, is a comfortable sofa (which converts to a double bed for up to two extra persons), and a 40 inch flat screen TV with all the Sky channels you'll need.
You will also find a DVD player and a list of the titles we have in our library in the Information File on the coffee table. Willowbrook has free Wifi throughout the property and a laundry is available to guests of the Main House Apartments 8am to 8pm.
